‘Sunrise,

Bless my eyes,

That’s ‘Sunrise’ by Uriah Heep, I sing it every morning to get me set for the day. Music plays a big part of who I am, and if I hit the dance floor there’s not stopping me – I’ve got all my own moves. 

I think because of my job, everyone assumes that I’m a really outgoing person, but being me takes up a lot of energy. I can actually be quite shy. I suppose that’s why being a tour guide manager is good, it allows me to do something I love. Having the opportunity meet all these people from all over the world and show off our beautiful brewery. The look in their eyes fills me with joy every time, all full of excitement and wonder. Our lovely visitors make my job different every day.

When I was younger, Buddhism taught me a really valuable lesson. 1. Discover your real talent. 2. Start using it.

I’m lucky, being the figurehead for Grolsch and taking people on a trip through their fascinating history, it means I never stop smiling.
